Sakhawat trust is set up with only one aim which is to educate as many less fortunate and needy children as possible. There are 3.3 million children in Pakistan in child labour. The reasons being poverty and lack of good basic education. The literacy rate is only 40% in Pakistan. The state allocates only 2% of its budget to education. Which means that the provided state facilities do not cover the needs of those that can not afford privately run schools. This result in many poor families sending their children to work in poor conditions for a pittance. Sakhawat trust wants to play its role and change the lives of as many children as possible by giving them the gift of education.
